Hello friends! I haven’t made any new art for this blog in a while and I’m super stressed about it, so here are some life updates!
My Second City show, Silence of the Mimes, premieres in just a few weeks! Shows are midnight every Friday in October + the first week of November at Donny’s Skybox Theatre on the 4th floor of the Second City Training Center. Tickets are $12 and will be available online soon.
[If enough Chicago tumblr pals are able to come I might challenge my anxiety and have a little meetup after one of the shows?? There’s a 24 hour diner a few blocks away… maybe we could have some late-night waffles and plotz about Tina Fey??]
I am involved in a project at Stage 773 in Chicago called Scribble Bibble, where every month, a group of creatives get together and write and produce a completely new show. In 30 days. It’s ridiculous. My show is a v. silly musical about ghosts and premieres Thursday, September 18th at 9 PM. One night only! I’m stressing!
I designed the show art for favorite client/delightful standup comic/soon-to-be global sensation Liza Treyger who is doing a live version of her & her friend Sabrina Jalees’ web series How Many Questions at the New York Comedy Central Festival on November 6th in Brookyln, NY! Go support her!
Another favorite client of mine is opening a café in Astoria, Washington, called Frite & Scoop. They sell nothing but Belgian frites and fancy ice cream (l KNOW) and are opening very soon! I designed the logo! You should go and tell me how amazing it was!
ALSO I’ve been in therapy twice a week + medication for my Social Phobia and GAD and now I can do things like take the train by myself and set foot in a bar without dying! But it is still a struggle!
You can follow me on instagram if you for some reason want to keep up with my life during this crazy busy time.
I hope you are all doing well! I’m trying not to compulsively over-apologize in this post. I think you’re all great! xoxo
