I want to say that I adore your drawings! I'm a huge fan of Parks and Rec and 30 Rock and other shows that you put on here. :) I also like to draw and paint. What started you making these types of illustrations?
Thank ya! Well, I’ve been drawing forever and ever. My notebooks in school were always chock full of doodles (sometimes even more than notes — whoops), and I’ve taken lots of art classes throughout the years. I guess when I love something enough, I start drawing pictures of it. And I love TV and food a whole lot. :)
i love your drawings! how do you color your drawings? do you draw and color on paper and then scan, or do you draw/ color digitally through a program?
Hello and thank you! I make my drawings in a really silly and roundabout way. First I sketch my drawings in pencil on paper, then I ink over them and erase the pencil. Then, I scan them with a free iPhone app called Genius Scan which is kind of glitchy but does the job. Then I open the drawings in a Mac program called Acorn, which is like a cheapie version of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and fix any imperfections and color them there.
I have always wanted to do one of these posts! WELCOME, new followers of this blog! I’m so excited to meet the 50 or so followers I’ve gained since yesterday. Hugs and high fives to you all! Allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Tyler (I’m a girl) and I am a 23 year old aspiring TV writer/illustrator/comedian-type person from Chicago. I sell my artworks at my Etsy shop, Roaring Softly, and I take comedy writing classes at The Second City. I am a Tina Fey fanatic, INFJ, cat person, Hufflepuff, and all-around hot mess. I love grapefruit, figure drawing, Disney magic, and long autumn walks. I dislike bleu cheese, car commercials, diet tips, and “nightlife.”
